About the World

what dwells underground

Rhaetia is home to creepy, pouty creatures, those lost, traumatized, or unjustly abandoned along the way.

A world that no longer exists, but truly exists.

Utopian and distorted, it has no boundaries.

If you know where to find it, you are Rhaetian.

the art brand

Each region of Rhaetia has its own history, intertwined with unique traditions and customs: every arrival and departure always reaches the Visitor Centre, the only existing Rhaetian hospital, also known by creatures as the Rhaetia Hospital Municipality.

It is a secret and vibrant world that, stretched across a cotton thread, unites the parts of the same organism.

Rhaetia's evergreen idea is to breathe new life and meaning into forgotten collectibles such as stuffed animals, vintage dolls, fabrics and unused canvas bags.

In the region of Rheadollandia, for example, curious hybrids take shape and gather in circus tents. They are so disturbing that they seem cute, and tourists love them.

The doctors and nurses at the Municipal Hospital, on the other hand, seem to have stopped in the 1960s, ready to go home after a hard day's work with their first aid kits: bags full of music and delicacies to give to their loved ones, symbols of care and protection.

ethics and sustainability

Second life (recycling): the soft toys and dolls are second-hand, carefully selected, restored and reinterpreted by Rhea Doll. The project does not aim at mass production, but at exhibiting unique pieces of art, which is why some items may show signs of wear and imperfections.

Community: dedicated to creepy and pouty creatures, Rhaetia welcomes people of all genders, ages, orientations, abilities, religions and ethnicities who identify with the concept of self-care through the aesthetics of creepy cute and poutycore, within the safe space offered by the project.

Expression: Rhaetia is open to all forms of artistic expression, in line with its aesthetic vision. The aesthetics of creepy cute and poutycore are not a limitation, but a filter through which to explore the beauty of the imperfect, the melancholic and the tenderly disturbing. Here, expression does not have to please or conform to the mainstream: experimentation, the contamination of languages and the freedom to be oneself, even in one's dark side, are encouraged.

Rhea Doll

The world of Rhaetia was discovered by Rhea Doll, a Rhaetian psychic with great sensory visions. In the Earth world, this individual is called an artist; the only difference is that on Rhaetia, psychics with great sensory visions are masters of vast regions and otherworldly worlds, sometimes difficult to reach.

Rhea Doll has traveled extensively across the globe, discovering some of the secrets of Japan and Northern European countries.

When she can, she sets out on new adventures, exploring new worlds that allow her to return to Rhaetia with a new baggage full of ideas, delights and imagination.
